South Carolina Wrangler Junior High Division

This year, South Carolina and the SCHSRA will host its first Wrangler Junior Division Rodeos. Our goal is to host eight qualifying rodeos and a State Finals Rodeo. The top four qualifiers in an event will have the opportunity to participate in the 2008 Wrangler Junior Rodeo Finals in Gallop, New Mexico. In addition to competing for more than $75,000 in prizes, WJHFR contestants will also be vying for more than $50,000 in college scholarships and the chance to be named the Wrangler Junior High Finals Rodeo National Champion. Competition is open to boys and girls in the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades in the year proceeding the National Finals. For example, a student would be in sixth, seventh or eighth grade in the 2007-2008 school year to compete in the July 2008 National Finals Rodeo. Contestants must have a current Wrangler Division Membership and maintain good conduct and grades to compete in any State Qualifier Rodeo and the National Finals Rodeo. You may contact Lori Peyton at 704-242-4512 with any questions.
